Longwood Farm Bed & Breakfast, Gordonsville, VA, USA

Longwood is a 3 story 1850’s home that sits in a park like setting, surrounded by 121 acres of fields and woods.

It offers an atmosphere of moving back in time to a slower pace of life. Take advantage of Longwood’s swings and rocking chairs located on either the upper or lower porch or watch the sunrise from the back deck.

This is the fifth home your host, George Costen, and hostess, Carol Eltzroth have restored, as well as the fifth home they have opened to guests.

We serve a country gourmet breakfast in the formal dining room, frequently utilizing fresh, seasonal vegetables from our garden. Carol’s homemade tomato juice and freshly baked breads are staples.

Each of Longwood’s five guest rooms offer their own special experience.

The Larkspur Room, frequently referred to by guests as the cheeriest room, glows in a blue and white theme and has a hall bath.

The East Room greets the morning sun coming up over the trees and fields. It has a four poster queen size bed, antiques, and a hall bath.

The Magnolia Room is decorated in shades of serene white. It offers a romantic setting, and it also features a bathroom with a rainforest shower and large bathtub. The queen size four poster bed welcomes anyone to a peaceful night’s rest.

The Tavern Suite, located on the lower level, offers a bright, sunny bedroom, queen size bed, and is decorated in an eclectic mix of memorabilia from George and Carol’s travels. It features a private bath and a wonderful private sitting room.

The Cottage is privately situated, nestled in the woods on the farm. Guests of the cottage enjoy a screened porch, full kitchen, large living and dining area, and a large bedroom with a four poster bed.
